Our Process
Investment casting process typically includes the following steps:
- Die Manufacturing: Utilizing advanced CAD/CAM facilities to create precise dies (patterns/tools).
- Wax Pattern Production: Injecting wax into the dies to produce accurate wax patterns, which are then thoroughly inspected for dimensional accuracy.
- Assembly: Attaching the wax patterns to a central wax runner system to form a tree or cluster.
- Ceramic Shell Formation: Coating the wax assembly with multiple layers of ceramic material in a controlled environment to achieve the desired thickness and strength.
- Shell Firing: Baking the ceramic molds at high temperatures to enhance their strength and prepare them for metal pouring.
- Metal Pouring: Pouring molten metal into the preheated ceramic molds.
- Cooling: Allowing the metal to solidify within the molds.
- Shell Removal: Breaking away the ceramic shell to reveal the metal castings.
- Finishing: Performing processes such as gate cutting, grinding, sandblasting, and deburring to achieve the final product specifications.
- Heat Treatment: Applying heat treatment as per material specifications to achieve desired mechanical properties.
- Inspection: Conducting thorough inspections, including visual and dimensional checks, to ensure quality standards are met.
- Machining and Surface Treatment: Providing additional services like machining, passivation, electro-polishing, blackening, powder coating, shot blasting, or glass bead blasting as required.
